Pema’s was started in 1997 by the Chef/Owner, Cesar Caballero and his wife and children. Ever since its inception, the emphasis has always been on the freshest and finest ingredients, together with a passion and enthusiasm that makes itself felt in every dish on the menu.
Cesar grew up around wonderful cooks and credits his mother and grandmother for instilling in him the passion and creativity he brings to his Italian cuisine. He met his wife Rosa (and fellow chef) while working in a famous restaurant in El Salvador - PEMA’s - and they vowed one day to have their own restaurant and that it too would be called PEMA’s.
They and all of their children are involved in running the restaurant, so when you dine at PEMA’s you truly experience an evening that is in every sense a labor of love - for cooking, for fine dining, from their hearts to your table.
